The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer in DuPage County, an area of 336 square miles with a population of 926,000. The Sheriff’s Office directly served the unincorporated areas of the county with a population of approximately 104,000 citizens and offers many countywide services and initiatives.
The Sheriff’s Office consists of three bureaus: Administrative, Corrections, and Law Enforcement. The mission to provide the highest level of law enforcement possible is carried out with the work of nearly 400 sworn Deputies and 100 civilian staff members.
